On both sides of the MIL/DIL fence…
This blog provides a virtual space for pondering Mother-in-Law (MIL) and Daughter-in-Law (DIL) issues. We hope you will join our forum created in the spirit of solidarity with women on both sides of the MIL/DIL fence. Go on, rant and rave if you have a problem, leave a comment, or brag if you are lucky to have a great relationship. It can be therapeutic and cathartic for those who come here to unload their frustrations. Some of us do not have MIL/DIL problems, nevertheless, we empathizes with those who do.

My MIL is hard to read. You know the whole ‘still waters are deep’ thing…unfortunately she’s got another daughter in-law who’s awesome (talk about luck) so there you go my usual story of marriage.
But Happy Thanks giving!
Would LOVE to tell personal MIL stories; however, am writing my autobiography/memoirs, and will most assuredly include AT LEAST one or two “encounters” in my book….
Can only hope my marriage will survive after book is published!
Will say this much: Marie Barone (from “Everybody Loves Raymond”) is not at all dissimilar to my MIL. Sadly, my FIL was not nearly as outspoken as Frank Barone; “Dad” knew his place and seemingly idolized his wife. ‘Twas utterly confounding to me and some of the other DIL’s.
